Native Women in Agriculture and Natural Resources Symposium
Presented by Native Women in Agriculture and Natural Resources
About this event
The Native Women in Agriculture and Natural Resources Symposium has gone virtual! Women in the agriculture and natural resources fields are welcome to join in on virtual presentations and discussion about professional development, trainings and to gather in a space to support women. The Native American Fish & Wildlife Society & University of Arizona Tribal Extension Program are co-hosting the NWANRS on March 23 – 25.
This three-day symposium will bring in Native women from across Indian country that are doing work in natural resources and agriculture sectors to discuss topics such as workplace wellness, salary negotiation, women empowerment, leadership skills building, healthy relationship building, and safety. Covering such topics can help provide American Indian/Alaskan Native women the tools and support system to aid in their career journeys, build community and sustain representation within the fields.
